Malvasia di Casorzo
Grown in the municipality of Casorzo-Penango and in the surrounding areas, it has an unknown origin. It has a medium-to-large, a little sparse, pyramidal, winged cluster and a medium, ellipsoidal, blue-black coloured berry. The thick skin has a persistent navel, the pulp is juicy, with a slight aromatic taste. Vine of good vigour and yield, with average-early bud-bursting. Very adaptable to medium-sized systems of training and medium-long pruning. Not very resistant to cryptogams, but well resistant to meteorological adversities, especially frost. It produces a sweet, sparkling, slightly aromatic wine, distinctive and appreciated not only locally. Blended in small percentages with Barbera, it adds sapidity and a delicate aroma to the wine.
