Regal Seedless
Seedless variety obtained by ARC in South Africa by crossing Datal and Centennial Seedless. It has a late bud-burst period as well as an average-early ripening period (7-10 days before Sultanina). The cluster is medium-large, cylindrical-conical, with one or more wings, and semi-compact. The berry is ellipsoidal, large, with yellowish-green, thick skin and crunchy, neutral-tasting pulp. Vigorous vine with very high fertility; adaptable to different systems, such as “tendone” (2.5m x 2.5m), lyre, bilateral cordon, or to mixed pruning (rod and spur) and the double Guyot (3m x 1.55m). Interestingly, it is highly productive and gives large berries, which thus do not need size-increase treatments. Also interesting for its excellent duration on the plant after ripening. Resistance to transport is good.
