Garnacha Peluda
This mutation of Garnacha Tinta is characterized by the strong density of laying hairs at the apex of the bud. It is also grown in France under the name of Lledoner Pelut. It has a medium-sized, truncated-pyramidal cluster and a spherical berry. It is considered more vigorous than Garnacha, but also less susceptible to millerandage. Its budburst period is medium-late, a little after Garnacha, compared to which is more susceptible to dead arm. Vine of good yield, it has a medium-late ripening period. The wine obtained has the potential of Garnacha, but with slightly higher acidity and slightly lower natural alcoholic content.
