Brancellao
Vine of Galician and northern Portugal origin, also called Brancelho or Alvarelhão. It has a small, cylindrical, moderately compact cluster with small, elliptical berries. It is a vine of average vigour and yield, as well a medium-late budburst period, and medium-early ripening period. The sugar content and total acidity are also average. It produces ruby-red coloured and aromatic wines, with a light taste. It is also used to produce rosé wines.
