Bud-burst period:everage-late.
Ripening period: everage.
Yield: abundant and constant, considering the susceptibility of the plant to nutritional imbalances.
Ampelographic characters:

the population variety is quite homogeneous, possible variations may concern shape and compactness of the cluster, on which depend the resistance to powdery mildew and the flavors and scents of the grapes. The bud has an expanded, wooly and whitish apex. The medium-large leaves have a closed, lyre-shaped petiolar sinus and overlapping edges. They are pentagonal, five-lobed, slightly blistered, with a bottle-green color, and tomentose on the underside. The large, long cluster with evident wings is fairly compact. The berry is medium-sized and spheroid-shaped with a golden straw-yellow colour tending to greenish hues. It is quite resistant to detachment. The skin is pruinose, the flesh is juicy with a typical flavour.

Cultural aptitude:

vigorous vine with a good yield, a semi-upright growth habit and fairly robust shoots with medium-long internodes. It requires soils that are not too fresh and warm-temperate, aired climates. Good resistance to summer drought.

Training system and pruning:

it adapts to various expanded and aired training systems. It prefers long and rather rich pruning but it adapts to medium pruning (4-5 buds) too.

Susceptibility to diseases and adverse conditions:

susceptible to powdery mildew, botrytis, downy mildew and sour rot. Good resistance to both winter and late spring colds.

Enological potential:

it produces a straw-yellow coloured wine, slightly scented, gentle, full-bodied, nicely alcoholic and soft, due to its little acidity. Blended with Trebbiano Toscano, it enhances it considerably, providing the final product with scents and body.

Clones in propagation:

Malvasia Bianca Lunga R2, VCR10.
