Baga
Vine from the region of Bairrada, Portugal, also grown with the name of Bagrina Crvena (Serbia). It has a medium, winged, compact, conical cluster with a medium peduncle. The medium, uniform, spherical berry has averagely thick skin, a not visible navel, not coloured, juicy and thick pulp, and a short stem. It is a vigorous vine of excellent yield, with late budburst and ripening periods. Low in sugar content and average in total acidity, it produces moderately alcoholic wines, of intense colour and fruity bouquet. Very astringent on the palate, due to the high tannin content.
