Planta Nova
Authorized in the Valencian Community, it is cultivated in the D.O. of Utiel-Requena and Valencia. Also called Tardana, it has a large, conical cluster and large, spherical berries. The budburst period is medium. This is a very rustic variety, little susceptible to the main cryptogams, particularly to botrytis, and moderately susceptible to powdery mildew. The ripening period is early. It produces young wines of simple structure, slightly fruity. It is generally used in blends with other varieties. Authorized also as table grapes.
