White cultivar obtained from the cross SK-00-1/7 and Pinot Blanc (code UD. 109-052).

Ampelographic characters:
the leaf is medium, orbicular with 1-3 lobes and { or V base petiolar sinus. Medium-large sized cylindrical clusters, compact with one or without wings. The berry is medium-to-small of spheroidal shape. Golden-green coloured rather thick skin with medium pruinosity. Soft pulp with neutral flavour.
Cultural aptitude:
high vigour grapevine with semi-upright growth habit.
Trellising and pruning:
adaptable to different pruning and trellising systems, but performs best on the Guyot-type trellis.
Resistance to diseases and adverse conditions:
excellent resistance to downy mildew (Rpv 12) and good resistance to powdery mildew (Ren 3). Good winter hardiness with resistance up to -20°C.
Enological potential:
on a sensorial level Kersus® wine resembles Chardonnay wine with the notes of Pinot Gris wines. The aromatic profile shows high intensity of floral and citrus aromas that transform into exotic fruits. Well-structured wines are characterized by intense fruity aromas and remarkable freshness. It is suitable for the production of young wines or wines with short periods of refining.
