Colorino

Colorino is a native black grape variety from Tuscany, likely resulting from the cultivation of wild grapes that grew spontaneously in the region. It has a medium or expanded apex, reddish-green in color, with arachnoid tomentum. Leaf orbicular, but sometimes also pentagonal; medium-small, trilobate or quinquelobate, with U-shaped petiolar sinus; dark green in color, moderately glossy with green veins sometimes tinged with red. Cluster of medium or small size, semi-loose, conical, winged with one or two wings, with small/medium berry, round, thick skin, very pruinose, violet-black in color, juicy pulp, soft, sweet, colorless or pinkish. The variety has medium-good vigor and medium, consistent production. Colorino VCR64 produces blending wines, highly coloring with excellent total acidity, structured, savory and fruity.
