Intervention 4.2.1
“Investments in the processing, marketing and development of agricultural products”
PROJECT SYNOPSIS.
The Cooperative, within the framework of its ongoing evolution and modernization programs, with the purpose to meet the needs of the target market, has developed a comprehensive project to strengthen its production and management structure. The investments are geared towards the construction, the expansion and the renovation of corporate facilities and the purchase of machinery and equipment intended to improve its activities.
The investments have taken shape into:
1) Extension and renovation of “Casa 40” building.
The renovation included the construction of a warehouse for bottle storage, the enlargement of the existing building, several modifications of the interior and the adjustment of the access ramp to the underground premises. The building has been expanded on one side so that to increase the indoor storage area.
Electrical, plumbing, heating and other installations have been completed as planned.
Among the envisaged priorities, the energetic efficiency of the production processes has been achieved with the installation of a LED lighting electrical system and low-consumption air conditioning devices.
2) Construction of a new building in the “Casa 40” area.
In this facility, neighboring but physically detached from the main building, more specifically “agronomic” activities have found their place, such as the processing and callusing of grafted vine plants, scions and rootstocks that VCR grows in the nearby experimental vineyards. In addition, service facilities for the staff and logistics areas have been built.
3) Purchase of machinery and equipment.
Machinery and equipment have been purchased for: improvement, enhancement and innovation of the micro-vinification unit; improvement of health parameters of grafted vines; improvement of intralogistics and transport of materials; upgrade of RES production system.
