Research EXPERIMENTATION: THE REAL INNOVATIVE STRENGTH OF VCR Long ago in 1967 the Board of Directors of Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo made a historical decision: the creation of an experimental firm able to develop the best nursery techniques for supporting the VCR production, and to carry out a serious large-scale programme for clone selection. Few years later the spin-off effects of this research activities were: - introduction of the paraffin technique for the callusing process and before the plantation in both the nursery and in the vineyard; - utilization of mulching in the nursery; - cold room storage for the vine multiplication materials; - warmhouse for the callusing of the grafts; - micro-propagation in vitro; - green grafting; - agronomic trials for the novelties of table grape cultivars; and as far as it concerns the clone selection: - homologation of more than 220 VCR clones in over 30 years of activity.     © 2006 Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo - P.IVA 00072080930 Privacy policy
